The “Parque Cafeeiro” Platform integrates, via API (Application Programming Interface), regularly updated government and public databases to freely support rural producers, cooperatives, and Brazilian companies in complying with the requirements established by Regulation (EU) 2023/1115 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 31 May 2023, which concerns the export of deforestation-free products (EUDR).

With its entry into force scheduled for January 2026, the regulation will have significant impacts in terms of providing agricultural production data together with its traceability in Brazil, the world’s leading producer and exporter of coffee, in addition to other agricultural products of global relevance.

In accordance with Article 3 of the Regulation, covered products may only be placed or made available on the market of the European Union, or exported from it, if they cumulatively meet the following conditions:

(a) not to be associated with deforestation after 2020: no overlap with deforestation mapped by the PRODES project (INPE) within the property with coffee cultivation;

(b) to have been produced on properties with no overlap with Indigenous Land, Quilombola Territory, or Conservation Units, in accordance with the Federal Public Ministry’s protocol;

(c) To issue a statement in support of compliance with the European Union’s guidelines (specifically the due diligence statement).

Within the scope of its established competencies, CONAB provides agents in the main coffee-producing and exporting regions with a public and free tool featuring innovative technology to assist the entire coffee sector.
