The National Supply Company (Conab), in partnership with the Federal University of Minas Gerais (UFMG) – Center for Technological Development in Environmental Modeling (CT Modelagem Ambiental) and its institutional partners, provides this platform exclusively for the purpose of technical support for agents involved in the coffee export process, mainly to the European Union.

The products available on the platform will be information on deforestation after December 31, 2020, and overlaps with areas of conservation units, and duly recognized, legalized, and titled quilombola (maroon) and indigenous lands.

The analyses, reports, and due diligence statements generated by the platform are merely auxiliary in the procedures for checking deforestation and do not replace the documentary, technical, legal, or fiscal verification required by applicable national or international legislation, including Regulation (EU) 2023/1115 (EUDR). The use of the platform does not exempt producers, cooperatives, importers, or exporters from their legal obligations, nor does it, by itself, guarantee regulatory compliance.

Due to the dynamic nature of adjustments in this type of geospatial system and possible future improvements to be incorporated into the platform, Conab, UFMG, and their institutional partners may change and update the website’s functionality at any time. This includes the automated analyses of coffee mapping, deforestation, and land ownership due to the availability of updated data and justified revisions of legal and methodological parameters.

The platform was built to ensure the reliability, timeliness, and accuracy of the data and reports presented here. However, CONAB and UFMG assume no responsibility for the statements contained in the CAR (Rural Environmental Registry) and the databases that support the platform, and cannot be held liable for any losses, direct or indirect damages, lost profits, or other damages resulting from the incorrect use or inability to use the platform, or even from the improper and illegal use of the information presented here.
